  •       If I had a manager or a publicist, neither would appreciate what I'm writing here. In my own estimation I am a pretty decent "music maker." I think I'm a good singer, though I was better when I was younger. That's partly because I was, well, younger, and partly because I was singing all the time, therefore I was in much better practice and shape, vocally. As for my musicianship, my own take is: meh. With pretty much everything below "vocals" on the list to the left I would not label myself anything more than a novice. I'm just adequate enough at most of these things to get my musical ideas across. As a musician I'm much better, relatively, on bass than on keyboards. But I certainly am not accomplished on bass; what I am is creative within the realm of my skillset, which I am trying to improve. But you're not going to be hearing the virtuosity of Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, Tina Weymouth, etc., etc., etc., any time soon. My songwriting is another place I think I do much better. I'm a better songwriter and composer than I am musican, by a longshot. As record producer and sound engineer, I'm okay, getting better, but "okay" is the highest praise I deserve ‐‐ but I am learning, through a large quantity of mistakes.

What I can and do accomplish is being good enough to successfully get my musical ideas and concepts across. So there is that.

Yeah, that imaginary publicist is having a stroke about now.
