My last stop on Summer Vacation Get Away 2021 was to the Cincinnati Art Museum on Friday, my last full day before heading back to my humble abode. It was my first and only time there, but I intend to return at some point. It's a pretty impressive museum, with a decent amount of exhibits to see. When I was there they had a special exhibit of paintings that were resuced during World War Two by the famous Monument Men. I understand that the exhibit was sponsored in part by George Clooney and his father, Nick. George lived in Cincinnati for a time while his father worked in television there, at one point hosting his own show, The Nick Clooney Show. Fun Fact: my mother once was the member of a women's social sorority club that attended a broadcast of The Nick Clooney Show, and she even met, or at least, saw, his young son, George. That young son went on to have a career in television and movies where he is not only a sought after actor but an acclaimed movie director. One of the movies he directed is Monument Men, which I believe plays a part in the Clooneys' involvement with the exhibit at the museum.

Portraits by John Singleton Copley of Thomas Greene and his wife. There's a great optical illusion in the room, where if you stand in the right spot, looking through a nearby four-sided display case, the reflection of Mrs. Singleton Copley will superimpose on the portrait of her husband, and the will look as if they ar snuggly next to each other. I do not know if this was planned or was serendipity.
